ZDEMAR united two names. Today it connects all of Europe.
The ZDEMAR story began in 1996, when Zdeněk and Martina Lohniský combined their names – and their efforts – to found a transport company in Ústí nad Labem. From an initial focus on bulk commodity transport, the ZDEMAR Group grew over the years into a provider of comprehensive transport, logistics and freight forwarding services across Europe. With our own fleet, strong partners and expansion into Slovakia, Poland and the Baltic states, we are today a trusted player in international transport.
Company founding
The couple Zdeněk and Martina Lohniský found the company ZDEMAR Ústí nad Labem s.r.o. (the name is formed by combining their names). The original focus is on the transport of bulk commodities.
First own truck
A significant step towards independence – the first own DAF truck joins the fleet.
Portfolio expansion
The company expands its services to include the transport of palletised, piece and liquid goods.
Fleet modernisation
A major rejuvenation of the fleet is taking place with the acquisition of top-of-the-range Volvo trucks.
LogisticPark and special equipment
We are opening our own logistics centre LogisticPark ZDEMAR in Chabařovice and expanding the fleet with walking floor trailers.
Heading to Eastern Europe
Expansion to eastern markets through the establishment of the sister company ZDEMAR SLOVAKIA a.s.
Expansion to the Baltics
The logistics network expands to the entire Baltic region through the establishment of ZDEMAR Poland s.r.o.
Division specialisation
Two key sister companies are established: ZDEMAR Transport a.s. (own vehicle fleet) and ZDEMAR CZECH s.r.o. (freight forwarding services).
